making a statement

Top, Trousers, Heels - Topshop, Necklace and Ring (part of a set of 3) - Urban Outfitters

I think it's good to always have a few statement piece's of clothing in your wardrobe and, although these may not be much of a statement to some, against my quite basic wardrobe these are definitely considered a statement in my eyes. While wandering around the shops the other day I spotted these in Topshop (surprise, surprise) and thought why not! To be honest, I didn't think they were going to suit me but I actually really like them and think they would be perfect for a night out. I'm unsure if I could dress these down as they have silver detailing but you never know! The necklace I bought from Urban Outfitters after seeing it on some mannequins instore and falling in love - I love a good statement necklace me. I'm also loving this little ring which came in a pack of 3, the other 2 are the same but one has a square and the other a triangle - they are perfect little additions to an outfit. They're not the yellowy colour that they're showing in this picture in real life - just a normal gold! 

In other news, I'm back at uni now and already crying at the amount of work we have to do by April. Hopefully I'll be able to keep up my posting every 2 days but I'm sorry if I post a little less as I'm really going to have to work hard! I also passed my first semester with 3 B's which I'm happy with but feel I could have done a bit better so going to work much harder this time.
